Hello my lovely people!
This week was looonnng! Probably one of the longest weeks of my whole entire mission! But also one of the weeks Ive grown the most lol! So that is a plus!
A few Highlights
- I got my new comp Sister Kratz and she literally is already like one of my best friends! I love the girl so stinkin much! We are constantly laughing and joking around with each other and she will be wild with me so that is a huge plus! The only issue we have had is she has rubbed off on me and now I say bro like every other sentence. She also talks in a really low voice and kind of like a gangster and I have started to too and so we just look like these really white chicks who think they are cool haha!
- We went to dinner at these members house and they have the cutest little girl named Prim Rose! She sang in Tongan for us before we left and the spirit was so strong. The spirit that you can feel through music is so strong and I just love it so much! Children are so close to Jesus Christ and I think thats why I have always loved them so much!
-I hit my 9 months this week so I am officially half way! Some of the sisters heart attacked my door that day which I thought was super sweet! Yee
- We also got to teach an eight year old in our ward because this week was her baptism! Her name is Leilani. When we went over she was super shy and didn't say much. However, when we showed up to the baptism after we went up to congratulate her and she goes " I didn't think you would come!" she was so happy we were there and it was so cute!
- We had a lesson set up with Agula this week unfortunately she canceled but we are going to try to get another lesson with her because we think she has a lot of potential. We also have a few referrals that we are hoping to get into contact with soon. One is a family that is really tight with a member in our ward! They have started to read the Book of Mormon and they are hoping to feed us sometime this month so hopefully we will be able to talk to them soon! We also are going to start teaching a nine year old because they didn't get baptized at eight they technically have to take the lessons now which should be fun and really good practice!
- Another good thing about Sister Kratz is she loves to stay busy just as much as me! We have been all over the place and every night we go to sleep so so tired so thats been really good. We haven't been able to do too much contacting yet because all the sisters in our zone right now are struggling so we had to do emergency exchanges and just different stuff like that but we are planning to work super hard this week!
- One of Sister Kratz and Is goals this transfer is to be bold. to fear God more than we fear man. We plan to do this with our missionary work but I think that can go for all of you too! In your member missionary work as well as in life. Basically what is means to fear God more than Man is that we care more about what God thinks of us than other people because thats really what matters. So next time you are trying to make a choice just think about what God would want you to do!
-Spiritual Thought: This week we had a zone kick off meeting and my good friend Elder Fotu gave a training. During the training he had us close our eyes and he told us to picture some one we love. Next he told us to think of why we love that person so much and what they do for us. Last he told us to think of if that person died for us what we would say to them. He then had us open our eyes and he testified of our Saviors love for us. Our savior is like that person we were picturing but ten million times more perfect and he died for YOU! INDIVIDUALLY! He loves each of you and I truly know that to be true! I have been reading the Book of Mormon more fervently this week and as I have I have felt the saviors love for me and for all the people in my life through the Holy Ghost! I promise you that if you read the Book of Mormon with questions in your heart, they WILL be answered!
Ps. Shout out to my beloved daughter(meaning the Sister I trained) Sister Chomjak! It was her birthday and she happened to be in our zone for a pick up at the mission office so I got to see her!
Well thats all I have for this week! Love you all very much!
