Things we did this week!
Tuesday: It was p-day! We went to sushi with all the sisters and I tried it for the first time! It wasn't my favorite! Me and raw fish don't get along!
Wednesday: We went up to the Hurst stake center because my comp had an appointment! Guess who I saw?! My MTC comp! I love her so much and it was so so exciting! I loved seeing all the ways we had already both grown! We also went to Braum’s for Sister Renteria’s Birthday!
Thursday: We had a really cool mission devotional! Some missionaries shared their conversion stories! It was so inspiring! This one girl grew up in a Baptist home. He dad was a pastor and still is and she is out here on a mission!! That just shows me how true the church really is!
Friday: We went to Arlington Charities for service! I love that place! I got to see Gail after not seeing her for so long because of Quarantine!
Saturday: Okay so best thing happened that day! We went to lunch with Gail and my old comp Sister Hollingsworth came along with a Sister I lived with for most of my mission Sister V! Gail wanted to have lunch with all of us because Im being transferred on the third! My heart is breaking but Im excited for whats next! Anyways I love talking to her about our church and I love when she tells us about her church! It was a fun time! That night we also taught Jayla and it was so good! We studied about Jesus Christ and the spirit was so strong!
Sunday: We went to church and the talks were incredible I almost cried! Anyways that night we had dinner with the Bakers which was a party!
Side note: I didn't mention it much last week but we have a new person we are teaching! Her name is Connie and she is so so ready! She told us that ever since we gave her the Book of Mormon she has carried it everywhere with her! She said it feels like an anchor and helps her feel protected and safe. The only problem is she hasn't read it sooo we are working on that! But she is so cute and we love her so much!
Spiritual Thought: With the Sisters in my zone we have been reflecting a lot about why we came here! They asked me to share the other night and I needed it so bad! I needed to be reminded of why I'm truly here! I told them that even though I didn't want to I came on a mission because thats what I knew I needed to do! I look back on my high school years and to be honest I didn’t realize or think that Jesus Christ knew exactly how it felt to be me! Coming on a mission has completely changed that for me! I now know that he knows exactly what its like to be each and every one of us! I invite all of you to lean on him and pray to Heavenly Father! You won't regret it I promise!
I watched a video that hit me so hard! We can apply it to all of our lives as we all are trying to be missionaries in our own special way!
Its called "Missionary work and the Atonement" heres the link! I can only find it on Facebook but watch it watch it watch it!
