Everything has been different since the pandemic hit. Savannah didn't get to have a mission call opening, wasn't able to spend time with friends or extended family before leaving and wasn't able to have a missionary farewell and big party afterward. It has been hard in many ways, but it also brought tender mercies. It gave us time to slow down and to spend tons of time together as a family. Savannah was asked to bare her testimony before she left and even though it was only a few minutes, it was so good to hear her express her feelings about serving a mission. Soon she will be off to TEXAS!
She loved sharing this day with Elizabeth. She gave her Homecoming talk as well.
