"What did you do? Bring her bread?" -K.S

 This week was good!

Overview:

-We had a good lesson with Ruth about 3 Nephi 11 when Jesus Christ visits the America's. She loves the Book of Mormon, but doesn't quite understand the importance of baptism and the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

-We found a new lady named Rachael along with her daughter Elle. They were referred to us by a member. We had an amazing spirit filled lesson on the Restoration of the Gospel and she actually ended up crying from feeling the spirit so thats a plus!

-We did service with this lady in our ward. Her name is Sister Brunken and she is from South Africa! She has the coolest accent and the best humor ever!

-We had zone conference and I learned a lot of neat things! My favorite was "If you want things to be different, then you need to do something differently."

-We had breakfast with Brother Hinus again who is literally the sweetest guy!

I studied a lot on enduring to the end this week. One way we are able to continue everyday is through Gratitude! A member told me this week "The key to Resilience is Gratitude." I think that is so true! So, if you are going through a hard time try and think of all the things you have to be grateful for even though it's hard sometimes!

Anyways, thats all I have. Sorry no pepper spray stories this week!

Love y’all and so does Jesus Christ!

Are you okay?

Hey! Sorry it's been a couple weeks.

Updates:

-Sister Ford left and I'm literally so sad! Leading up to her leaving, and when she left I cried more than I've cried my whole mission😆 I'm so dramatic! It was sad though! She has taught me so much and helped me through the majority of my mission. So big shout out to her!

- For the last two weeks with Sister Ford we were put into a trio with a Sister named Sister Marshall! I've served around her before. Wahoo!

- I am now in another trio with Sister Marshall and Sister Hall. It's been good. I love them both very much!

- The members put on the cutest farewell party for Sister Ford. It was all Texas themed and I just love them all SO MUCH!

- In the last two weeks I Saw Gail and Sister Valenzuela! Gail is someone I know from service in Arlington and Sister V is a Sister I lived with for 5 months at the beginning of my mission! She finished her mission a while ago but came back to visit!

- Melinda Jach is an inactive member we have been talking with. She hasn't been to church in 30 years but she came last Sunday to see Sister Ford and I speak so that was a huge miracle!

- We were at Sister Quinbys, an older lady that we help clean! She is kind of a hoarder but we got her counter top cleaned off which took a lot of work! Anyways, I was having her go through her makeup and she pulls out this lipstick shaped tube. We opened it up and it looked like it was perfume. She asked me to spray it and smell it but not too close to my nose because it might smell bad. So I do a tiny squirt and didn't sniff at all just in case. Well then I can't smell anything so I spray a lot more, lean into it, and I take a huge sniff. Next thing I know my eyes are burning and watering. I can barely see and my nose is starting to bleed. I GOT PEPPER SPRAYED! So I'm like dying and then Sister Quinby starts hacking! So she runs to her fridge to grab me a drink and we go outside. She brought me a Bang and a Diet Coke, ahahh! We all had to wait on the porch for the spray to get out of the house for like 30 mins haha! The pain didn't stop for 30 mins either. We asked her where she got it and she goes “I don’t know, it came in the mail" we asked her if she knew where it came from and she goes "NO of course not”. So let's hope I didn't poison myself! Hey but now I know what it's like to be pepper sprayed.

- There hasn't been a ton of teaching in this area! But we are trying and we will keep trying!

To finish off I want to share 1 Nephi 11:17

"And I said unto him: I know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, I do not know the meaning of all things."

I want you all to remember that the most important thing we need to know is God and Jesus Christ love us! If we build our foundation on that we will always find our way back!

I love y’all so much, but not as much as Jesus does!
