Enough about the fetching speaker!

This week we stayed busy which was such a blessing!

Monday: To start our morning off we went shopping with a girl from our YSA ward. Party times! We even got to go on an exchange with Sister Blanco since we planned it while she was with us, so it felt just like old times! We then had a BBQ as a zone since we hit our finding goal and of course the one day we do a BBQ it decides to rain ahahah! One of the ZL’s, Elder Holt, kept the grill going in the rain for like 15 minutes though lol! He was just holding a plate over the fire haha. We all decided to make the most of it and we danced in the rain and it actually ended up being one of my fav p-days of the mission!

Tuesday: We had a slower day. We were super tired because we had gone so hard the week before! We still worked though. It was just more online that day. That night we went to dinner with the Piatau’s. I love them haha. We ate at Red Robin which is my favorite restaurant ever. That night we started exchanges and I was with Sister Larsen.

Wednesday: We were on exchanges all day and it was a party! First we went to do service and on the way home we grabbed some crumbl cookies hehe. Then we went tracting for a long while and we had a blast. Every time someone slammed a door in our face we would start dying laughing. We also found this lady who had a super thick accent. We talked to her for a while and she is going to be away until August, but was super interested in our english classes. She had the best spirit about her. She told us she didn’t really know what to believe about God, but she wanted to figure it out. You could just tell she was a good person. To finish our exchange we got some Boba yee.

Thursday: This was a good day! So. in the morning we had zone conference. But then came the best part. So for those of you who don’t remember, Sister Hollingsworth was my trainer. Well, we left early from zone conference and we got to go on a mini exchange to the temple because a lady that Hollingsworth helped baptize right before I got to the mission, was going through the temple and invited us.  It was so cool because  it was the year anniversary of her baptism!  It was so good to be back in the temple and we didn’t even have to wear masks! I’ve never been without masks and I loved it so much! The spirit I felt there helped me so much. I had a really good talk with Sister Hollingsworth about how we are both doing. She is such a light and on our drive back from the temple there was one point where I felt the spirit so so strong. I love her and the light she brings so so much!

Friday: We found a guy named Austin wahoo.  Cool guy!  Then later we had a lesson with Gerry. We went and grabbed Boba with him and we taught him the Plan of Salvation. We had so much fun! We were serious when we needed to be, but we were also able to just joke around and become better friends with him. He even let me draw out the plan on his super fancy iPad he has for door to door sales. He informed us that he isn’t going to convert anytime soon and that he wouldn’t be able to follow the word of wisdom, but I still have a lot of hope. Like literally ten minutes later he told us he wants to raise his family in the church because he loves how family centered we are.

Saturday: My favorite part of Saturday was the evening! We went to the park with the ZL’s and we played Spike Ball and asked random people at the park to play with us. It was literally so fun and we were laughing the whole time. We even got a couple peoples numbers out of it and we are going to play with them again soon.

Sunday: We mostly just went to church and meetings all day. We did go to a devotional  that our stake put on called "Why I Believe”.  It was so so good and I felt the spirit. Afterwards, Sister Kratz and I went outside after everyone had left and we just laid on the side walk and looked at the sky lol. We are weird!  She looked over and she was like " Isn’t it crazy to think that God can see us right now. I think he is proud of us. Who would make something like this for someone they weren’t just a little proud of."  We then just sat there in peaceful silence until the Bedford sisters came and joined us lol and then we just talked ahah. Moment ruined! Jkjk I love them so much! Talking to them is always good haha.

Spiritual thought: This week a common quote we have been sharing at dinners is:

"True, enduring happiness, with the accompanying strength, courage, and capacity to overcome the greatest difficulties, will come as you center your life in Jesus Christ." - Richard G Scott

Center you life around our savior Jesus Christ and you can overcome anything. He is reaching out to each and every one of us and all we need to do is let him in.

Well, I love you all dearly. Remember if you ever need ANYTHING I am always here to talk!

Love you!

Fanga!! 🥳

This week we worked hard and it was really good! We had some really cool experiences!

We found 5 new people which is a lot for us! We usually find one person per week at most! We had some Elders in my zone find 19 people this week! So, that was wild! The five people we found were Gerry who I told you a little bit about last week! Then we also found Gay, Nathaniel, Ricky, and Esther. We have return appointments with all of them so we are so excited to get to know them a little bit better. Esther seems to be the most promising besides Gerry! She is a cute young mom and was so excited when we stopped by! She even asked us if she could give us her number. I’m excited to go back and talk to her again!

Yesterday at church we had a scary thing happen! An elderly man was speaking and he was speaking in Tongan, but I could tell it was with power. He then paused for a minute and all of the sudden he fell over and no one was able to catch him. He stopped breathing and his granddaughter, who has medical experience, was able to perform CPR for about 15 or 20 minutes, until the paramedics arrived and were finally able to revive him. It was so scary and I hope he will be okay! Please keep him in your prayers! His name is Brother Folau!

A little bit more about Gerry! We had a lesson with him on Friday at Sisi's. It wasn’t the best we ever taught, but we think that it got across to Gerry! He is such a cool guy. He told us that he actually has a 2 year old daughter named Isabella, and the reason he wants to come closer to God is for her. We thought that was super sweet.

Our cute nine year old that we have been teaching (Fanga) got baptized this week! It was such a special day and she made us feel so loved! She kept coming up to us and giving us the biggest hugs! The cutest part was she made sure that we had leis made for us because we helped her get baptized. It was so cute. The coolest part of it all is that we started teaching her a couple of months ago and she really wanted her Dad to baptize her, but he wasn’t worthy to hold the priesthood.  So, as we taught her he would sit in on lessons and take notes. There was one point where he realized what the Atonement really was, and that was so special. Anyways, he became worthy and he is actually the one that baptized and confirmed her! So that was special. Before the baptism I sat by him and asked him how he was feeling. He told me how nervous he was and I just looked at him and said " Its okay, you can’t mess this up. If you say the wrong thing you can just try it again and it will all work out." He looked at me and he was just glowing. Literally the change in this man over the last few weeks has been amazing.

This week we have focused a lot on choosing to be kind over being right! We have been talking to many members about how being kind is the best way to show Christlike love! Even when people don’t always believe what we say to be true, if they feel the kindness and love of Christ, I believe they will eventually come around!

Anyways, that’s my week! Also, my mission President changed the rule and we can now use messenger to message our friends on p-day, so if any of you want to message me feel free! Email works too!

Love you all!

Remember Jesus loves you no matter what!

Having colored hair doesn't make you unprofessional

Hey everyone! The Last few weeks have been crazzzzzyyy! Wahoo!

We had transfers this week and I am staying with Sister Kratz. Our amazing trio got split! Sister Blanco is still in the zone though, so that's a blessing! I'm really grateful I get to be with Kratz still!!

Monday: Was p-day and the last one of the transfers. So I was trying to spend as much time as possible with the missionaries who were leaving. Sad times!

Tuesday: We basically were just moving all of Sister Blanco’s stuff back to her apartment in Bedford. The reason she had been with us is because her comp went home on medical release and so she was with us for a month. Now she's back in her old ward, so we had to move her bed and desk and everything back to her old apartment. That night we had dinner with the Piatau’s! One of my favorite families for sure!

Wednesday: We had transfers! I got to see all my friends which made me so so happy! I also had to say goodbye to a lot of missionaries which is so sad! Okay, so for those of you in my home ward! Ya know the Mailau’s? Ya, so Sisi (the oldest) is in the YSA ward I serve in! She's down here for summer sales and she had us over for dinner along with her sister, Elizabeth! Small small world!  That night we went to Boba with all the sisters in the zone so we could get to know each other! So, that was really good!

Thursday: This was the first full day of the transfer and I would say it went really well! We stayed busy all day! We did service for a big portion of the day at Second Glance which is the thrift store we volunteer at. I found out the funds go toward helping women who have been victims of sex trafficking. So, that is a really cool cause! That evening we had dinner with Kafoa and his friend and it was a partyyy! We went to Texas Road house and as always Kafoa roasted me every other second lol!

Friday: It was a good day Friday! This was a good day! We went to in person Mission Leadership Conference and I once again got to see a lot of my friends! One of the trainings was on having empathy for our companions and the missionaries in our zone. It was really powerful and enjoyable. For an object lesson I had to saran wrap two sisters together infront of everyone! It was so funny! Plus I am just an awkward human being so I am like awkwardly running around these to sisters with Saran wrap while awkwardly laughing and making awkward comments. It was a great time! Im pretty sure my face was bright red! That afternoon we went tracting and it was sooooo hot! I literally thought I was going to die! But we found a new person so it was all worth it! Her name is Dana and she is super cool! She is obsessed with motorcycles and told us about her bike for a good 15 minutes straight! We are planning on going back tomorrow to help with service and teach a simple lesson!

Saturday: We helped a family move that morning for a couple hours and again it was so hot but it was a fun time! After we had ZLC and then we helped clean the church a little bit! We also went tracting again! This time with no success but I can finally say I have had doors shut in my face! So thats kind of a fun thing! yee!

Sunday: This was a good day! We had a miracle! So remember Sisi from the dinner Wednesday? yeah so she gave a talk in sacrament and she invited a couple of her co workers who she is doing summer sales with. On of thems name is Gerry and we ended up giving him a Book of Mormon and we now have 2 lessons set up with him! One tonight and one on Friday! He is super eager to learn and we literally cannot wait to teach him! The crazy thing is during sacrament meeting I was praying to God and telling him i was frustrated because I feel like I work so hard and sometimes its hard to see the fruits of my labors. I asked if he could just put one person on our path that we could talk to and right after we met Gerry! God is good!

Spiritual Thought: At MLC we had a time where we discussed in a group with just the Sisters. While talking one of the Sisters brought up that we need to make sure every relationship we have in life no matter what it is, it needs to be centered around Jesus Christ. As I have been thinking about that I hve realized that if we follow that truth we can be friends with and love anyone. So as you think of those relationships that are kind of rocky in your life. Try and figure out a way you can better ceter them around Jesus Christ and I can promise the relationship will improve. If you dont think you have any rocky relationships then do it with someone close to you and it will get even better than it is now!

I hope you all know how much I truly love and appreciate each of you! If you ever need anything PLEASE reach out! Im here to help however I can. I love you and Jesus Christ loves you! Dont forget it!
