Hi Everyone!

This week was good! I am probs not going to write a ton because I don’t have very much time!

Highlights:

*We taught this guy named Brandon and he wants to read the Book of Mormon! He has had a copy for years and he finally wants to read it, so that will be good.

*We have had the chance to talk with James. His family is very sick, but they live in India and he can’t visit them. It’s been really good to teach him about the Plan of Salvation and testify that he will see his family again!

*Friday my Aunt Ladee was in town and my President let us meet up to go out to lunch! It was so fun to see her! We laughed the whole time and I can’t wait for the day I can go over to her house again! Love you Ladee! That evening we had the chance to talk to this sweet 8 year old (Kelsie) who is getting baptized!

*Saturday we had a carwash and it was FREEZING! I thought I was going to freeze and everyone was pouring water on me. I’m bullied!! It’s fine! hahah

*Yesterday we found out transfer news! I will be getting a new companion named Sister Kratz!  She’s actually already in my zone, so I already know her! I love her and I am excited to be her comp! She was originally assigned to Vanuatu french speaking which was my #1 pick when I put my papers in.  Sister Swinson is leaving me which is way sad, but she is whitewash training for her last two transfers and she is going to kill it!

*I also listened to my friend Anna’s homecoming talk this week via zoom! She is such a stud so shout out to her!

Spiritual Thought: This week my friend sent me a recording and in it she told me “Sav, the Teacher is always quiet during the test”.  Sometimes it’s going to feel like we are alone, but I can promise God is there! At times he just needs to step back so we can grow the most because he loves us so much! So, if you are feeling alone right now just know that he is there! Pray! He will help you!

Well, I love you all! Have a good week!!

You do have Good Eyebrows

Hello friends! So a lot has happened over the last two weeks! Last week I had exchanges with Sister Thatcher which was the highlight of my week! We want to be comps, but we don’t think that will happen because God knows we would be too psycho together. I also had a great Easter and General Conference was amazing! I think it is so cool that we have the opportunity to listen to these men & women called of God every 6 months! My favorite talk was definitely President Nelson’s talk about Faith! If you haven’t read it and want me to send it to you then just shoot me an email!

Okay moving on to this week!

Monday: I had an amazing p-day as always. My good friend Elder Fotu and I made up a sick handshake!   So that was fun. Ill attach a video below haha

Tuesday: We had Chick-fil-A at Zone Leader Conference which is always a good time. That afternoon we started exchanges with the MSTLs (Basically just Sister APs) I got to go to their area with Sister Renteria and Sister Stowers! It was so much fun! They are so fun and super hard workers which is a good time. I got to go street contacting for the first time ever with them. We didn’t really know that was allowed, but now we do. Anyways, we went to this college campus and it was TERRIFYING! I was so nervous. Sister Stowers first showed me how it was done with one person and then she looked at me and said "Your turn" I was so nervous! I felt like a greenie all over again. Well, Sister Renteria brought up President Nelson’s talk where he said to think of what we would do if we had greater faith and then try to do those things. SO, they looked at me and they were all " If you had greater Faith”.  Eventually I got the courage to talk to someone and I started the conversation.  So wahoo!

Wednesday: We were lucky enough to have Elder Mckay from the Quorum of the Seventy visit our mission via zoom this week! Wednesday was the first day. He talked about the urgency of this work, but how at the same time we cant rush agency. So somehow we need to combine the two. The way we do this is through patience and love. He is a powerful speaker you guys! Well, after the conference was over for that day, Sister Renteria and I were so hyped we just started yelling at each other! We were telling each other all the ways were going to be better very LOUDLY! haha! I love her so much. She was one of my first STL’s in Arlington, and we have always been super tight. It was good to be with her again! That evening when we switched back, we went to smoothies with all the sisters because it was Sister Thatchers Birthday. Love that lady! I also went on a blitz with Sis Blanco who is in training and we went street contacting. I had to be very brave, but we did it and we talked to 3 whole people!

Thursday: We had our second day with Elder Mckay. That day he let us have a Q&A. I asked "How do we give our failures and flaws to Christ?”  He told me to 1. Open the scriptures and read.  2. Pray, and 3. Learn to have faith in Christ. Once we can do that, we can give him our pains and hardships. We went street contacting that day too! It’s so much fun to be outside.

Friday: It was our last day with Elder Mckay:(  Well, at the beginning of the last of this conference he gave everyone the opportunity to share miracles that they had seen through their efforts over the past two days. I was so frustrated because I hadn’t seen any miracles, and I’m like what the heck?… I’m trying so so hard! Well, he told us that sometimes we have to fish all night and then one day our nets will break from the multitude of fishes. Just like it was for Peter. So, I’m just still in the night waiting for that beautiful morning. That evening I went on a street contacting blitz with Sister Howe. We actually met a lady named Paty, and set up an appointment with her so that was super exciting.

Saturday: This was a day to remember. Basically, all day we did service. In the morning we had the Bishop’s Store House. Then from 2-5 we put on a car wash with the whole entire zone. It was so fun and within the first 5 minutes Elder Bowman had already poured a whole bucket of water on me. I’m pretty sure every Elder in the whole zone poured a bucket of water on me or sprayed me with a hose. It’s fine, I’m just bullied! Don’t even worry though because I got them back lol!

Sunday: We had church with the YSA ward and then after we had "Break the Fast”, which was so so good! It was just like a huge potluck. Fun times!  We then went street contacting to try and walk off all the food we ate before dinner. We met this lady named Jasmine and got her number. so hopefully we can set something up soon! That evening we had the departing testimonies from all the missionaries leaving us at the end of the transfer. so that was crazy. One elder had a cheesy quote that was actually pretty good. He said " Life is like a heart beat. It has to have its ups and downs or we wouldn’t be living”.  I thought that was cool to think about.

Okay, well I just put a ton of little spiritual thoughts in here! But I love yall! Have the best week!
