Chefs and Tornados

Hello Everyone! This week has been a good one!

Things that Happened:

Monday: we had a fun brunch with the sisters!

Tuesday: we filmed a video for light the world!! We took cookies to families in the ward! We also danced in the "rain" that night! Ended up it was a tornado that hit a mile down the road! Whoops!

Wednesday: We brought this lady named Connie a Book of Mormon! She was so happy and almost started crying! She says she has been praying for this and she knows it's only the beginning of her journey! So exciting! It was also Shaylas birthday! Love that sister of mine!

Thursday: It was THANKSGIVING! We started the day off with a morning run with the STLs! Then we went to Thanksgiving at some of my favorite members sons house! They had us over all afternoon! It was so much fun! The food was amazing! After we went to have more desert with the bishops family! It was a good day!!

Friday: We taught Nick again!! He is the best! He is so engaged in the lessons and loves to study the Bible!

Saturday: We had interviews! I love my mission president so much! Most Christlike person ever! That night we had a drive thru light the world event! The cars would drive through and we would sing carols to them and them they would continue driving through all the different stations there was a nativity seen, hot chocolate and cookies, etc! Kind of a creative way to celebrate the holidays with covid!

Also fun thing! My mom sent me a ton of Christmas decorations! We decked out the apartment and it is so fun! So shout out to my mom!

Sunday: We went to dinner at the bishops! The kids were crazy but it was so fun! The cauious made me feel like I was at home! We even got to play cover your assets again! I didn't win again! Im over it though.... maybe;)

Spiritual Thought: This week I wanted to express my gratitude for spiritual promptings! I had a really cool experience with one of my cousins back home! The experience ended up strengthening both of us! Im so grateful for the people God puts in our lives! God works in Mysterious way my friends! Always remember that God and Jesus Christ love you and they are so aware of you!

Love Y'all!

Finally you have someone to educate you!

 Hey Everyone,

My week was good!

Things we did:

Monday: We went to the stadiums and to eat Texan barbeque with all the sisters!

Tuesday: We talked to a lady named Joan! We let her know that you are never too far off the path! Our savior, Jesus Christ, has made it possible for all of us to be made clean!

Wednesday: Elder Teh from the quorum of the 70 came to visit our mission via zoom!! My favorite quote was "God doesn't only know us for who we are now but for who we can become!"

Thursday: We went to Arlington Charities!! Gail was there! She told Sister Chomjak , " I don't know how you put up with this crazy one" as she was pointing to me. I was laughing so hard!

Friday: We did a Thanksgiving food drive at the AT&T stadium. It was HUGE! We were supposed to be there for 3 hours, but ended up being there for 6!! Crazy! So fun though! I also loved hearing from our prophet! I love President Nelson!!

Saturday: We went to Taqueria Taxco to celebrate Sister Chomjaks 1 month as a missionary!!

Sunday: We taught a guy named Nick! He was so invested! It was so good! We also went to the Bakers for dinner and it was so much fun!!

Spiritual Thought: Remember that even though trials are hard God gave them to us, but he also gave us a way out! Through Jesus Christ we can overcome anything!

Love Y'all!!

Do you know where Burleson is?

Hello hello! This week was so good! I was so anxious to know what was going to happen with transfers all week!

Monday: We went to torchy’s one last time for Sister Hollingsworth because she's leaving me this week! So so sad! But Im so excited to meet my new companion.

Tuesday: We taught Nava about Jesus Christ! He had never heard of Christ before but he soaked it all in! We are so excited to continue teaching him!

Wednesday: We went to do service at Arlington charities! Gail was there again! I even got a picture with her! I just love her because she is so sarcastic with me! I love her! Favorite lady!

Thursday: We helped a lady in our ward pack up her kitchen! It was actually a lot of fun! She was super sweet! We will miss here in the 5th ward!

Friday: I was going crazy at about 1 o'clock! I was like "I JUST WANT TO RUN" and sister Hollingsworth is all "why don't you" so then she let me run around the complex while she walked! Haha such a fun moment!  Then we had dinner with the ward mission leader! I love their family so much! It was super fun!

Saturday: We went to a members dental office where they have a collection of 150 Christmas puzzles that they have put together and framed.  They hang on all the walls throughout the office.  It was amazing!!

Sunday: We got transfer calls! I am getting a new missionary from the MTC so thats exciting! So that will be crazy to have a newbie & be training! Im terrified! Its exciting though! Her name is Sister Chomjak!

Spiritual thought: This week we have been focusing a lot on Helaman 5:30! I love this scripture because it talks about listening/ hearing the spirit! I've come to the realization that I use to ask God questions but I would never really take the time to listen! But as Ive learned to listen and ponder thats when I've grown the most! So this week remember to listen for what God is trying to tell you because he's there and he wants to answer your questions!

Have the best week!

RIP DARLA

Hey everyone! This week was so so good!!

Fun times:

-Monday we carved pumpkins! I named mine Jeffery!

-Tuesday the Hermanas were on exchanges and so we had Sister Renteria in the quad! My goodness I love her so much!

-Wednesday we did service at Arlington Charities! Gail was there again.  She really is my favorite! She calls me Sister P in her southern accent.  My favorite thing!

-Thursday we had exchanges. I was with Sister Dunkley! I love her! We are kind of crazy together! Like so high energy! We had to give up the mini Cooper so RIP DARLA! Don't worry though. Sis Dunkley and I had a funeral. We screamed Hallelujah at the top of our lungs on the way to drop it off!

-Friday we taught a man named Nava! He is Hindi and it was really interesting to hear about his religion.  But, he wants to hear about Jesus Christ and learn more!.

-Saturday was Halloween. We had interviews! Sad news… Sister Hollingsworth will be leaving a week from Wednesday. Im crying! Its fine its whatever!

-Sunday I was complaining about not having a meal on fast Sunday because I’m a spoiled brat at times! But God loves me and a member texted us and told us to come over! I love their family! They are sarcastic in the same way as me so its amazing!

Spiritual thought: GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS! GUYS! I had the coolest experience on my knees this week. He answered my pleas. It was amazing! So get on your knees and make God your best friend!

Love you all,

Sister Poulson

My friend Jerald! Also, don’t let it fool you, the reason my tag says
Sister Hollingsworth is because I “dressed up” as her for Halloween
