I hope I never lock my kids in a tower

This week has been a good one!!

Things we have done this week....

-We had a Facebook blitz Tuesday and we went and got yogurt with the tech sister after! Aggg I love them so much!

-Wednesday we had a funeral for our ZL because he died (which means he is going home)! So that was sad!

-Thursday and Friday we made some fun videos for our Facebook page! One of them we are posting today it is called "general conference stereotypes" so keep your eyes out for that!! It should be good!

-Saturday we got the best tacos from Taqueria Taxco! They were so so good just overall amazing!

-Sunday we did a hand off lesson for Gordon which was kind of depressing but the YSA elders will be amazing with him!!

- Last night Sister Hollingsworth and I slept over at the tech sisters apartment so that was a party!!

This week we are having transfers. I am staying where I am and I will be with Sister Hollingsworth for another transfer. My favorite human Hermana Gilbert is leaving me...rude! But the new sister coming in is actually cousins with one of my good friends so that should be amazing!

Remember everyone that God answers prayers! I have spent a lot of time on my knees this last week and although my prayers weren't answered exactly how I thought they would be, I know that they were answered the way they need to be! My good friend Lizzy sent me a very uplifting voice recording and reminded me to look for tender mercies! As I looked for little miracles throughout the week I saw so many! GOD IS GOOD! HE LOVES YOU! Remember that and don't ever forget it!

Made it to the Temple

Our Texas Trip was the BEST!!  The news that the Dallas Temple opened and Savannah would be able to receive her endowments came much quicker than we expected.  We loved seeing Arlington where Savannah is serving, seeing her apartment and meeting her companion and the sisters she lives with.  We were able to spoil them a little by doing a Costco run for them and we got to take Savannah and her companion, Sister Hollingsworth, to dinner.  But the BEST part was being able to be inside the temple together.  I had prayed that Savannah would be blessed with a special temple sister who would help her as she went through the steps of taking out her own endowments.  My prayer was answered and she had a sweet angle sister help her to feel calm and loved which was such a tender mercy.  The time went by so quickly and we all wanted to stay in the temple longer, but the time we did have was very special.  Who gets the chance to fly to their child's mission and go to the temple with them??  There's got to be some benefits to this whole pandemic, right?  Of course it was a super hard goodbye, but we loved every minute there.

Jerald the Frog

Hello everyone!!

-I started my week off by catching a frog and we named him Jerald so that was a party!

-Tuesday was Mexicos independence day and I dressed in the Mexicos flag colors with the Hermana's! We also went to dinner at the Bakers and they let us cut out our own pasta which was really fun!!

- Wednesday we had an IN PERSON zone conference! It was so fun to meet other missionaries and to hear the words of the leadership!

-Friday we went and chalked and put a QR code around town that would lead people to comeuntochrist.org! It was such a fun time!!

- Saturday we had a movie night! We watched an intense movie about a sister missionary! Wow I could barely handle it!! Ahahah just kidding I'm not that broken yet;) oh and Sister Valenzuela made amazing enchiladas!!

-Sunday we went to the Bakers again holy cow I just love them!! I realized that sister Baker and I are the same person! Like she is what I'm going to be as a mom! We then went to a family referrals house! They moved here from India about 2 years ago and it was so fun to go and meet them! They freaked out when they found out I went to India and bow they want me to teach their son english so that is so funny and exciting! They are the cutest family!!

My favorite scripture this week is Moroni 7:33! Remember you can do anything with Christ by your side! I also came to the realization this week that God puts us in difficult situations for a reason! There is always something we cab learn through our trials! Remember to rely on God and he will embrace you! Love you all!
