She Just got Yeeted by Santa

This week was kind of a crazy one!!

Monday: We went and got Thai food.  I usually love Thai, but this stuff was not the best haha! It was an experience!

Tuesday: We went to lunch with a girl named Brandi and some of her friends. She is 17 and wants to learn more about the church.  It was so fun!

Wednesday: This day was crazy! Sister Brown started feeling sick and we ended up getting our whole zone, the tech zone and our mission STL's quarantined for Christmas! We felt bad!

Thursday: By some miracle we were able to get Sister Brown a rapid covid test. We did have to wait in the car for 5 hours, but it was definitely worth it! She was negative! Everyone got out of quarantine and it was a Christmas miracle!!

Friday: Was Christmas! We chilled most of the day.  Some members brought us breakfast and dinner. I love being able go focus on Jesus Christ. That night the STLs let me go on a mini exchange with them since both my comps weren't feeling too good and we went caroling with the zone.

Saturday: We did a surprise service project. We raked a bunch of peoples yards as a surprise and it was actually so much fun.  I enjoyed it!

Sunday: I got to hear my dad and brother do a musical number in church over zoom.  I also got to hear my good friend Sister Dunkley's Homecoming talk.  Shout out to her! To top off the day, I got to talk to my sister in law for her Birthday!

Spiritual Thought:  This week we focused so much on the Savior.  Oh how I'm so grateful for him and the light he has brought into my life.  Let him in!  He will bring comfort and peace that you didn't know possible.

Merry Christmas

This week was so good! Alot has happened! It feels like last Monday was 10 years ago! In a good way!

Things we did!

Monday: We went and played Disc golf with some elders and it was a party!

Tuesday: We went to Gail's house! She let us come in and it was so much fun to visit her! I love her so much! We also found this Arlington sign on the freeway and I just pulled over on the side of the highway! Haha kinda funny except I think I scared Sister Chomjak half to death!

Wednesday: We picked up Sister Brown! Sister Chomjak and I have a new addition to our companionship! We are now a trio! Sister Brown is the happiest human and I have laughed harder with her than I have in my whole mission! I also said bye to Sister Larsen and Dunkley! They both went home this week which literally broke my heart!

Thursday: We had service at the AT&T stadium! We were handing out food for Christmas! It was a party!

Friday: We volunteered at Arlington Charities! I got to go around to all the cars and ask them about a form! Kinda fun!

Saturday: We got special permission to have movie night as a zone! We got to watch Polar express for Christmas!

Sunday: We went to the Hamiltons! They are literally my favorite humans! They are so cute and decided to give us Christmas! Sister Hamilton gave us each like 5 presents! It was so cute of them!

Spiritual Thought: Since its Christmas this week, we have focused a lot on Jesus Christs birth! Isn't it so cool that we have a whole holiday dedicated to the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ?? Thats pretty dang cool! Anyways I just hope you all know how much Jesus loves you! He truly is our Savior and he will be your best friend if you let him!

I hope y'all have a Merry Christmas this week! Remember the true meaning of Christmas! Love you!

Wednesday: Our whole apartment went to Arlington Charities! It was so fun! We were working so hard and got twice as much done as we usually do! And as always Gail was there to roast me!

Thursday: We heart attacked a bunch of families in our ward! It was so fun! Except we weren't very sneaky and kept getting caught!!

Spiritual Thought: We've been studying charity! I love this attribute because every single attribute leads back to this One! When we are charitable thats when we have true joy! This week be a little more charitable! Pray for help to see others the way God does!

Wednesday: We went and decorated a ladies Christmas tree that we met off Facebook! We also visited Sister Dodge! She told us her life story and it was so cool!!

Thursday: We went to Alisas! She doesn’t want to learn more which is sad, but I'm glad that we have become friends with her! She is the sweetest!

Friday: We went and cleaned a ladies house! She had the cutest baby boy and was super sweet! We were able to talk about Jesus Christ and it went really well!

Saturday: We volunteered for salvation army! It was so fun to collect the presents for Angel trees! At the end we were talking to a youth group and one of the girls was named Brandi! She texted us after and wants to get together and learn more about our church! It was so so exciting!

Sunday: We went to the Betancourts for dinner and then we got to watch the First Presidency Christmas Devotional with their family! It was so much fun.

Spiritual Thought: If you didn't get the chance to watch the Christmas devotional! You should watch it! You should be able to find it on churchofjesuschrist.org! My favorite part was how much they talked about Jesus Christ being the ultimate gift and that we need to open that gift! So my challenge for you this week is to open the door and make Christ the center of this Christmas season!

Y'all are the best! Have a good week!

Do you know where Burleson is?

Hello hello! This week was so good! I was so anxious to know what was going to happen with transfers all week!

Monday: We went to torchy’s one last time for Sister Hollingsworth because she's leaving me this week! So so sad! But Im so excited to meet my new companion.

Tuesday: We taught Nava about Jesus Christ! He had never heard of Christ before but he soaked it all in! We are so excited to continue teaching him!

Wednesday: We went to do service at Arlington charities! Gail was there again! I even got a picture with her! I just love her because she is so sarcastic with me! I love her! Favorite lady!

Thursday: We helped a lady in our ward pack up her kitchen! It was actually a lot of fun! She was super sweet! We will miss here in the 5th ward!

Friday: I was going crazy at about 1 o'clock! I was like "I JUST WANT TO RUN" and sister Hollingsworth is all "why don't you" so then she let me run around the complex while she walked! Haha such a fun moment!  Then we had dinner with the ward mission leader! I love their family so much! It was super fun!

Saturday: We went to a members dental office where they have a collection of 150 Christmas puzzles that they have put together and framed.  They hang on all the walls throughout the office.  It was amazing!!

Sunday: We got transfer calls! I am getting a new missionary from the MTC so thats exciting! So that will be crazy to have a newbie & be training! Im terrified! Its exciting though! Her name is Sister Chomjak!

Spiritual thought: This week we have been focusing a lot on Helaman 5:30! I love this scripture because it talks about listening/ hearing the spirit! I've come to the realization that I use to ask God questions but I would never really take the time to listen! But as Ive learned to listen and ponder thats when I've grown the most! So this week remember to listen for what God is trying to tell you because he's there and he wants to answer your questions!

Have the best week!

Hey everyone! This week was so so good!!

Fun times:

-Monday we carved pumpkins! I named mine Jeffery!

-Tuesday the Hermanas were on exchanges and so we had Sister Renteria in the quad! My goodness I love her so much!

-Wednesday we did service at Arlington Charities! Gail was there again.  She really is my favorite! She calls me Sister P in her southern accent.  My favorite thing!

-Thursday we had exchanges. I was with Sister Dunkley! I love her! We are kind of crazy together! Like so high energy! We had to give up the mini Cooper so RIP DARLA! Don't worry though. Sis Dunkley and I had a funeral. We screamed Hallelujah at the top of our lungs on the way to drop it off!

-Friday we taught a man named Nava! He is Hindi and it was really interesting to hear about his religion.  But, he wants to hear about Jesus Christ and learn more!.

-Saturday was Halloween. We had interviews! Sad news… Sister Hollingsworth will be leaving a week from Wednesday. Im crying! Its fine its whatever!

-Sunday I was complaining about not having a meal on fast Sunday because I’m a spoiled brat at times! But God loves me and a member texted us and told us to come over! I love their family! They are sarcastic in the same way as me so its amazing!

Spiritual thought: GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS! GUYS! I had the coolest experience on my knees this week. He answered my pleas. It was amazing! So get on your knees and make God your best friend!

Love you all,

Sister Poulson

But as we remember the spiritual experiences we’ve had and as we continue to build our foundation in Christ we will stay strong! Continue to pray! Prayer is amazing! I wish I would have always realized the importance of prayer! Make God your best friend! I promise you he will be the greatest friend you've ever had!
